Faith, inspiration, relationships

There is NO HOPE…without a CHILDLIKE faith.

Is your life hopeless? Is it….or is this your perception of it?

What happens when we die? Does it matter?

Is there a heaven? Is there a hell?

Who made us? Who cares?

If you are human, you have asked yourself these questions. There is something inside each of us that, I believe, God planted in our brain or our souls, when he made us….to make us question this phenomena we have about life.

If you believe all that you see, did not just come into existence by chance, but there is a Creator, then, why are we here you ask? That, may be the next question….why ARE we here? To believe that someone or something bigger and greater and smarter and wiser that made our world and the Universe, takes less faith than the opposite. I think it would take more faith to believe that “POOF” it all came to be.

We are all searching for purpose and meaning in life. I don’t care what sect or religion or cult you are a part of. All faiths, even atheists search for purpose and meaning. If you search long and hard and deep enough, it will always lead you to the only One that will give you the fulfillment you are looking for. But you do have to be open-minded.

Truth however….is narrow. I have been called narrow-minded because I am a Christian. When it comes to faith, it is true, I am. I know there is only one way to salvation. One. It is not all inclusive. It does not include all religions. If all religions were true than all religions would be equally false. But, Christianity is not about a religion. It is about a person. And, that person is Jesus Christ.

I think God created us because he is a God of relationships. God is very personal. God wants to be in relationship with you. Even if you don’t believe in Him, he believes in you. He hears you and is listening. God is patient and wants all to be saved. ALL! Now, that is inclusive, but he provided only one way. One….not many.

He walked in the garden with Adam, the first man, and Eve, the first woman, until Satan, who was thrown down from heaven to the earth, deceived them. They disobeyed God and sin entered the world.

God, the true God, the only God….Jesus Christ himself, God the Father who became human and the Holy Spirit who is God living in us if you are a Christian. Three persons in the Trinity but One God. All three make the One Holy being that created our world.

If you think this is a lie and we all just came into being by some freak “BIG BANG THEORY” let us just say you were right. So we came from some small microorganism like the amoeba.
After gazillions of years it developed into an ape….etc.

If that is true, then how do you explain our conscience? How do you explain the intangible things such as thought, emotion, critical thinking, knowing right from wrong? Can a freak explosion that supposedly came by itself made our moral thoughts into being. And what about morality? If there is a right and a wrong way to behave, who or what set that standard?

I am no expert. I am not a theologian or scholar by any sense of the word. I never went to college. But I do read when I get the chance and listen to many smarter than me. But, I am thinking too…if you believe in evolution, that we evolved from the ape, would not apes have evolved by now so there would be none, but just humans?

To me, the thought of their being a creator, seems the most logical conclusion. It is why a child can understand it.

God says (if you believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God) “We must become like a little child.”

He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 18: 2,3)

God gave man free will. He did not make robots. He wanted us to have choices. He gave us a mind to think. He knew humans would fail. He knew disobedience was possible so even when he was creating Adam, I believe he already had a plan in place for sinful man’s redemption.

God sent his Son to earth, born of a virgin, to live on the earth for 33 years to reveal himself to mankind in the flesh. He was tempted as we are, got scrapes and bruises as we can, was humiliated, scorned and hated.

He was beaten, spit upon and took the lashes. He was stripped of his clothing, had thorns crush his brow. He was made to carry the weight of the cross built for his execution. He bore the burden although laughed at, mocked, bloodied and sweaty.

Jesus obediently outstretched his arms as the soldiers pressed his hands in place to receive the forceful blows from the hammer as the spikes were driven through his flesh. Again his legs forced in place and the feet received the same gruesome treatment. His cross was forcefully dropped into the hole while he helplessly was clung to it. I can only imagine the pain and agony….for which….he died …..for me.

God sent prophets to the world long before Jesus was born. We were told a Savior would come, not realizing Jesus had a kingdom but from another world. He is a King. People did not listen to the prophets. They were all eventually killed or taken to heaven. The Bible is still with us and why is that the case? Why has God preserved it? Why is Israel still here when it is smaller than the state of Florida, USA?

I don’t know how much convincing a person needs that the Bible is true and that you have a Savior who bled and died for you. There is no other way in which a person can be saved. God requires blood sacrifice for atonement for sin. It must be a sacrifice without blemish.

Jesus had no sin but bore all the sin of the world for us. Once and for all he paid Satan for my sins. I don’t have to go to hell and make a plea to Satan for anything. Christ has done it for me because I put my faith in Him. I gave my life to Jesus Christ when I was fifteen. I thought I always was a Christian growing up in the Catholic church.

No saints, no penance, no works, no sacrifice I make or do will guarantee I get to heaven. Only by the wounds of Jesus Christ am I able to get there. Do you want to go to heaven. We all have eternal life if we have a soul. A clone or a robot will never have a soul. Our soul is what will spend eternity somewhere.

There is no purgatory. It is never mentioned in the Bible. We don’t get a second chance after we die. Our family and friends can’t pray us into heaven. We can’t do anything in the after life to make up for evil we have done here. We have one chance and maybe today is the day you will be taken from this world. You may meet God sooner than you want to.

Do you want assurance that you will spend your eternity in heaven? Jesus is just a prayer away and we are all sinners and need a Savior. Put your trust in him. Ask His forgiveness.

We are all saved through childlike faith. By GRACE ALONE, in CHRIST ALONE can any of us be saved from eternal Hell fire which is real. To think it is not is to believe a lie. Lies come only from the father of lies, the devil. He wants you to listen to him. He comes to steal, kill and destroy. (John 10:10)

God wants you to spend eternity with him in Heaven. He made the way. It is a gift freely given. You just have to receive it and then your life will be changed. You will finally know your purpose…..to love HIM. He will take care of the rest.

And He said to him, “ ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ “This is the great and foremost commandment. “The second is like it, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ (Matthew 22:37-39)

  1. What a beautiful post! I am not religious in the sense that my church is not outside of me , it is within, I am the temple and when I sit with God and thank him for the blessings that I have I feel his love as the greatest feedback that life is my playground, my home! I am happy to be alive and there is not a day that doesn’t go by when I am not thankful for my bruises and all the sins that I have made because I have the opportunity to atone for my mistakes through the grace of God and he makes me stronger!

    1. Yes, it sounds like you have a great “relationship” with our SAVIOR, Jesus Christ. I am not happy for my sins though. It always makes me sad but I know I am redeemed and am forgiven because of what Christ suffered on the cross.
