Virus and Fear Keeping Doors Closed – When We Need Our Churches More Than Ever

“God has not given me a Spirit in which to fear but of power and love and a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

I know who I am, I know where I am going, I don’t believe all the stuff fed to me…yet I know this is an invisible threat.I am fortunate to not have any immune disease and am not compromised, but maybe the age that I am is a negative against me.

Our church sent out a survey but I guess you could only find it if you were on their website. Since church is closed I rarely go there. I do get my giving report faithfully by mail, or when they need to send out a plea for more money. So, I missed the opportunity to share my thoughts and ideas. Oh well, I can vent here on this platform thankfully.

I don’t waste time bringing things to our council anymore. I once served and there was always dead silence when I would share. They may have well thought me as an alien in the room. I don’t want to burden our Pastor either with my thoughts. It would not be very considerate, and I am sure most of what I have to say may not be leaning towards his worldview, not that I know fully what it is, so what I have to say won’t matter.

Some things never change and never make a difference. Some things do, but I don’t know the difference so I try everything to get a message out that is near and dear to my heart.
Just don’t let anyone silence you if you live in USA. We do have freedom here even though some are trying to silence you.

We opened our church for outside services Wednesday nights. Why not Sunday too?
There are some over 60 not afraid and would benefit from the fellowship. But not to sing….that is just stupid. We would have masks on. Will we not be able to recite the prayers either? What people will believe, to me is sometimes ridiculous.

Dr. Fauci is not the only doctor that has opinions and facts and proof positive of things that will help the public in fighting this pandemic.
The America’s Frontline Doctors Summit that took place on July 27 and 28 with the goal to dispel the “massive disinformation campaign”
about COVID-19 going on in the U.S., according to its website.

Oliver Darcy, a CNN reporter, shared that the video was removed from Facebook after gaining over 13 million views.
Darcy also later confirmed that the video was removed by YouTube for violating its community guidelines. The organization was organized by the Tea Party Patriots, which described the event as:
“Physicians from around the country address the American people about Covid-19 and the importance of reopening schools and our society.”

So I ask…..what is wrong with hearing all views about this Wuhan virus? What’s up when big tech, which are in cahoots with the democratic party, hide or take down information that goes against the propaganda media and the leftists….what does that tell you?

Truth must be hidden because it does not suit their agenda. They want us in fear, they want us all isolated, they want our economy to tank. They hate America, they want a one world government not ruled by the people but by a few that hate God. This should scare anyone more than the virus itself.

I am not afraid of death. I am afraid so many will perish to everlasting death because they had no chance to come to know Jesus. They will not be strong enough to stand up for truth and evil will and is starting to take over our cities, our governments, our families, our schools, and Pastors are not helping by leaving decisions to open to their congregations. Why are our doors still closed, when we could keep the online service available, for those who are afraid of contracting the virus, and most at risk.

It is not compassionate to exclude those who would attend, who want to attend, or who need to attend. Loneliness, depression, troubles in marriages or families, struggling teens, or addictions could fill the void left by an unchurched individual. Only God’s word penetrating our hearts and minds can breakthrough some strongholds in our lives.

Not everyone has a Bible. Not everyone likes to read it or has formed the habit. Not all have scripture memorized which is powerful to change lives. Online church is not personal. It does not give you the hug you need, the personal interaction you get that can heal a broken spirit like fellowship.

Do you not think that God would honor people that honor him? He is bigger than this virus. God created it after all via those in the Wuhan, China lab. God is stronger than this.

We are being foolish to not have our doors open to the lonely, the destitute, those hungry for hope, healing, restoration and those misguided but searching for answers they need in their lives. We are even reckless as lives are being lost to suicide and addiction. Family members are being abused. We are showing weakness to the world when God should be our strength. We are to be a light that shines in darkness.

“The light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not comprehend it.” (John 1:5)

Jesus said, “I am the Light of the world” (John 8:12)

We all need a shepherd. If not Jesus, then who or what will take his place? Jesus is my shepherd. He goes with me and my Christian friends are my church. I will be alright, but sometimes miss the face to face encounters with those in our congregation.

My husband and I will be alright. We have a strong faith. I read God’s word daily which feeds me, I worship with my piano and my CD’s. I don’t need church.I don’t need the sacraments. I don’t need the coffee. I don’t need the Sunday school. I don’t need the council. I don’t need our Pastor or any in leadership.I have Jesus and he has always been faithful.

Jesus Christ alone is my hope and my rock. He is the Almighty healer. He is the Word. He is God and lives in me. I am never alone. I listen to what God tells me to do and don’t live in fear. He is bigger than this.

I don’t need saints, the sacraments, my prayers or anything I say or do to save me. Only Jesus Christ alone can and has. He did it for all mankind on the cross at Calvary. It was a gift our God gave to the world but a gift given must be received. We have to receive Him fully. No other god has done that for you.

All other gods ask, “What can you do for me? What can you give me?” Not so, Jesus Christ. He gave His all…for all. He is an all-inclusive God who loves us. He does not discriminate. He does not ask you to kneel or face a particular direction when you pray. He does not insist you do your penance. He has taken your sins past, present, and future if you put your trust in him. He asks nothing of you but to give Him your cares and worries, your heartache and pain, your heart….but gives you everything.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7)

Satan is a deceiver. He is in the world and wants to put an end to the truth. He continues to break up families, pollute our minds, change our churches to
attract people to “it” but not to Christ himself. Satan is taking over our schools, our governments, our media, hollywood, our speech, the internet social media big actors.

People believe things just because of a small snippet or what was captured on camera. They don’t wait for the facts to all come in. Whatevertheir friends tell them they believe. If it is an unpopular view, they will keep silent. Everyone is afraid but the thugs or celebrities the leftists love.”The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” – John 10:10

Professional athletes kneel when our nations anthem is played, churches stay closed while rioters can burn down businesses, corruption in politics
see no justice or accountability, black children are killed in the streets of Chicago and you hear nothing about it from BLM.

Hypocricy is rampant and a blind eye and deaf ear is turned as we watch these attrocities.
It is rare to hear a Pastor address issues in our broken world. When is there a sermon when we hear on the news that a political figure supports partial birth abortion? A child can be in the birth canal as a woman is in labor and the brains sucked out of them. An innocent life means nothing to Satan…it means little to those who would rather get realected.

They tell us….”A woman has a right to do what she wants with her own body after all”.
AND I SCREAM at the television…..”but that baby is alive…..meaning…..A LIFE….meaning
VIABLE…able to live…..DO THEY NOT MATTER?”

How many doctors, lawyers, actors, musicians, cooks, athletes, artists, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, sewers, police officers, firefighters, writers, cooks, teachers, nurses, professors, inventors, soldiers, patriots, warriors, pastors, preachers, astronauts, scientists…etc…..will never be….because of an abortion. You don’t know who these children could have birthed themselves. If not for Abraham…..many of us would not be here. If not for your own ancestors. If not for your own mother!

So this is where we are at but it only touches the first layer of the
deep pit we have dug ourselves into in America…in our world. Evil is rampant on our screens. It is very tiresome as if the China Coronavirus pandemic was not enough to make our hearts sick.

Where are the “All Lives MATTER” groups forming? Where are the tiny footprints the size of a thumbnail hung on clothes lines in churches to address the abortions
that were performed in our communities the last year? Were are the “Straight Pride” parades? I am sick of this world and need Jesus. I need worship. I am tiredof all the negative news and fighting, the burning down of buildings, little children shot in their car seats and celebrities dishonoring our veterans by kneelingwhen our anthem plays. When we say nothing….we are a part of the problem in my opinion!

We can’t have funerals, yet, funerals were held for Presidential Candidate Herman Cain and Rep John Lewis. I get it, but it must hurt those who could not bury their loved ones. No weddings either, no services. It hurts, it is maddening. If it is safe to assemble for some and under some circumstances, why not for all?

We are called to love one another. God wants our hearts. We must leave everything else behind….our family, our pride, our friends, our goals, our cares and worries…our frustrations, especially during these times we live in. We are called to obey.We are called to trust in Him and learn from him. These we do freely if we love Him, because we are drawn to Him and His Word. We are hungry for truth.

(Galatians 5:22,23)
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

    1. Our Pastor is a people pleaser. He is a very kind man. But, I don’t need that in a Pastor. I need one who upholds truth no matter what the cost!
We have seen a lot of hellish things going on in the news in the USA, the last 4 years especially. I need a Pastor that speaks directly to evil and talks
about it using God’s WORD to support it. I don’t feel unity in the Holy Spirit at our church. It is not on FIRE for the Lord!
